Why we are better than others.
Unlike others, we do not require that the animal has spots on the body and any color is ok. We do not require you to travel with the lizard. It will be picked up at your house after we have transferred the money to your bank account. This transaction will take place while you and we are present inside the bank. We want you to understand how reliable, easy and honest we are! Unfortunately, not every website is like this. For instance there’s a website claiming that their buyers are connected to the WHO (World Health Organization). Well, we thoroughly investigated this and it appears to be a lie. The same website owner also claims that the reptiles can cure HIV/AIDS. This is also a lie. Body parts of the animal can cure cancer and certain allergies and that’s what it’s used for and nothing else. Also, the website does not provide any identity information. In most cases this means that you are dealing with a scam. Do you want to do business with liars or do you prefer honest people?
Here’s a Tip on how to increase the weight of a toko tokay with a minimum weight of 350 grams.
You can catch this animal with a minimum weight of 350 grams, and feed it for several weeks with non-essential food items. These non-essential food items are small house lizards, newborn mice and wax worms. There’s a very good chance that the reptile’s weight will increase to 450 grams in a few weeks. The small house lizard is too fast for this big lizard to catch, so you should kill it first, stick it at the end of a (bamboo) stick and move it in front of the animal’s face. Gekkos only eat if they think their prey is still alive and these big lizards have bad eyes. Feed the animal 5 small house lizards every OTHER day which means: 5 house lizards per 2 days. This is because the reptile needs an extra day without lizards, so the animal can continue digesting the 5 lizards. You could, for example, pay 1 peso per catched house-lizard to others for catching them. Newborn mouse: once a day, alive. Wax worms: once a day, alive. Newborn mice and wax worms are extremely fatty and will make the reptile obese. Observe the reptile very well each day to see if the weight increases. If not, give more of the above mentioned food. After you stop feeding lizards, mice or wax worms, your pet will loose weight very quick. This means that you should continue the process until the reptile weighs at least 450 grams.
Where to find a toko?
You can find them in caves, on cliffs and high in trees, found in rainforests, but also in houses.
How to catch a tuko toko?
It are night animals, so you should hunt them during night time. If the reptile is in a hiding place, you can force them out with the smoke of a cigarette or by moving tobacco on a stick near to the nose. Blind it with a flash light, and, while catching it, cover it with clothes and wear thick garden gloves for your protection.
How to transport a tuko toko tokay gekko?
Transport should take place in a big hollow bamboo pipe that is weighed in advance. Once at home weigh the bamboo including the animal, deduct the weight of the bamboo itself and you know the weight of the reptile. This way the tuko toko tokay gecko gekko will not become too stressed.
How to take care of a tuko toko tokay gekko?
It is a very sensitive reptile and, if it’s not taken care of very well, it will die. The cage should be big but, more importantly it should be high, so that the animal has enough room to move and climb. Exposure to direct sunlight is not allowed, so keep the cage dark. Only one reptile per cage is allowed otherwise they might attack each other. The content of the cage should consist of natural materials only. Leaves, rocks, soil, non-poisonous plants etc. are ok. There should be a (part of) a tree in the cage so that it can climb. They must also be provided with other climbing obstacles like plants, vines, bamboo, and logs. They prefer a lifestyle OFF the ground. Natural habitat is what it’s all about. Orchid bark is a very effective and natural material that can be used. Orchid bark is a blend of nutrients and vitamins created specifically for orchid plants. Alternatively, coconut fibre can be used. Coconut fibre is the fibre found between the hard, internal shell and the outer shell of coconuts. This gives a natural look to the cage, it allows easy cleaning and also helps in keeping the humidity levels up. Spray water several times a day to keep humidity as high as possible. There should also be a hiding place for the animal so it can feel safe. This can be achieved by adding lots of greenery such as caves, plants (real or fake), cork bar, and pots. In the top of the cage there should be a small light bulb that attracts insects at night to be catched by your pet. If the animal gets bored because it has nothing to do, it might get sick and die. A guard covering the bulb is extremely important to ensure that the toko lizard does not come into contact with the hot surface of the bulb.
Cleaning of the cage
A clean cage is an important factor to ensure the best health for your tokay gekko reptile. Your pet will often defecate high up, and on the sides of the cage. This is easily removed with a damp tissue. Cleaning of spots should be done each day, faeces or dead food should be removed as soon as they’re seen.
What do tuko toko tokay gekkos eat?
Crickets (main diet), cockroaches, grass hoppers, locusts, mealworms, and super worms (Morio Worms) that are still alive. You can catch these insects yourself or pay someone to do it for you.
What (how) do tuko toko tokay gecko gekkos drink?
They will rarely drink from a water bowl. They prefer to drink water dropplets from wet surfaces and leaves. The best method of providing your toko animal with water is to spray the cage with water. The tuko toko tokay gecko gekko will then drink the water droplets that are in the cage.
Handling
These gekko reptiles do not tolerate handling. They are very defensive and will bite if they feel threatened. For this reason, it is best to handle these gecko’s only when really necessary. Use thick garden gloves as these gecko’s can give a nasty bite. It is important when picking the animal up to be very gentle to ensure you don’t damage the toe pads.
Temperament
Your toko pet is often referred to as “Pitbull of the Geckos”. This is because of their no fear attitude. Tokays will bite if they feel threatened. When it bites, it won’t let go! You will have to submerge the reptile in water in order to convince it to let go or put it on the floor, which may encourage the reptile to let go, without causing the animal any harm or stress. Another method is to simply put a drop of vinegar on the lizard’s nose.
